Sample Invoice Health Report
Last updated: October 1, 2026
What you would receive if you ordered the $750 Invoice Health Check. Below is a sample report on 25 invoices — the same structure, the same checks, the same format a paying customer gets, with the real client’s data replaced by illustrative examples.
Sample / Illustrative — This is an anonymized example of what an Invoice Health Report looks like. All company names, invoice numbers, amounts and findings below are illustrative. They are not from a real client and do not guarantee any result on your invoices.
Batch summary (sample)
- Invoices reviewed (sample): 25 — 12 ocean freight, 7 demurrage & detention, 4 drayage, 2 chassis/per diem
- Invoices dated (sample): last 12 months
- Report turnaround for the real service: 48 business hours after intake-complete confirmation
Findings (all illustrative)
| # | Finding | Invoices | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Demurrage free-time miscount — clock started before container availability, 3 days billed that should have been free | 2 invoices | $1,840 |
| 2 | Per diem billed for days after the empty was returned — terminal timestamps show return 4 days before the last billed day | 1 invoice | $620 |
| 3 | D&D invoice non-compliant with 46 CFR Part 541 — missing required elements (no dispute contact, no compliance certification); issued 41 days after charges stopped accruing, past the 30-day deadline | 1 invoice | $2,150 |
| 4 | BAF surcharge applied to contracted cargo outside the surcharge's effective dates | 2 invoices | $975 |
| 5 | Duplicate billing — the same container and B/L billed twice across the carrier invoice and the NVOCC invoice | 1 invoice | $1,300 |
| 6 | Drayage wait time and chassis split billed without authorization on the rate confirmation | 1 invoice | $410 |
| 7 | Chassis split-billing double count — pool vs. carrier chassis confusion | 1 invoice | $555 |
Disputable total (sample): $7,850
“Needs evidence” (sample): $1,120 — items flagged for the client to confirm (e.g. availability dates)
“Not claimable” (sample): $430 — reviewed and found compliant
Sample figures only. Your report’s numbers come from your own invoices.
How the real report is built
- Every line of every invoice is checked against your contracts and rate confirmations, the carrier’s tariff, and the applicable FMC billing rules.
- Free-time clocks are rebuilt from terminal availability and return timestamps.
- Duplicates are hunted across carrier, NVOCC and trucker invoices for the same container or B/L.
- An AI-assisted engine does the first pass; a human reviewer signs off on every finding before the report ships.
What happens next
- Report delivered within 48 business hours of intake-complete.
- If the report shows less than $750 of disputable charges, the $750 is refunded in full — you keep the report.
- If you sign the Freight Audit & Recovery Services Agreement within 30 days, the $750 is credited in full against our contingency fee.
